We’ll cover detailed information regarding models of clinical supervision, various methods involved in the delivery and implementation of clinical supervision, assessment and evaluative procedures (formal and informal) used by clinical supervisors, multicultural considerations for supervisors working with supervisees, ethical and legal implications for counselor supervisors, important distinctions in clinical and administrative supervision, and developing your professional identity as a counselor-supervisor.

  • Participants will be able to identify standards for recordkeeping and monitoring supervisee cases.
  • Participants will be able to identify ethical and legal issues for supervisors providing clinical supervision.
  • Participants will be able to identify professional standards and the credentialing process in clinical supervision.
  • Participants will be able to identify procedures for supervisees in crisis/emergency situations with clients.
  • Participants will be able to identify the importance of cultural differences between supervisors and supervisees.
  • Participants will be able to identify formal and informal evaluative methods used in clinical supervision.

    *CE credits are calculated based on total video content hours. Readings included are supplemental and are not calculated towards CE credit. A post-test is required in order to obtain CEs. Passing score for the post-test is 80%.
